EXCUSE ME MAM, DO YOU SPEAK COUPONESE?
Ah, the mysteries of Coupon Lingo. You may have heard couponers on TV talk about Blinkie’s, and Catalina’s, and BOGO’s. Sounds like a scene from the Wizard of Oz – Blinkies, and Catalina’s and BOGO’s Oh MY!
When I first heard the word Catalina, I assumed it was some West Coast kind of deal to Catalina Island. Had my good friend who nicknamed herself Blinkie, gotten into the coupon industry? Luckily, I knew what a BOGO was from my years in marketing, so I had a little head start.
But the codes on the coupon match up sites went even further until it looked like some kind of secret agent code. Coupons noted as being from RP, SS, PG, and GM made me think….what? And how will I ever figure this all out?
